Thomas has been a core developer of Jupyter and IPython for several years, since before the notebook interface was created. Within the project, his work focuses on the core Python execution machinery, the IPython terminal interface, and tools for handling Jupyter notebooks as documents, such as nbconvert. Since this spring, he is working on data analysis at European XFEL, a new research facility in Hamburg.
