Come to Edinburgh

By Plane

Edinburgh Airport is just 6 miles from the centre, with direct flights to many destinations around the World. You can easily get to the centre of the city in around 20 by taxi, bus & tram. You can find more information on getting into the city from the airport on the EICC site.

By Train, Bus & Tram

There are two train stations in the centre of the city, Edinburgh Waverley, and Edinburgh Haymarket. Haymarket is the nearest to the EICC, but you can walk from both. If you're travelling by train it's much cheaper to book in advance. You can book tickets online on Trainline and pick them up at any station.

By Car, Taxi & Bike

Edinburgh has restricted on-street parking in the city centre, so if you're staying in the centre you may have to leave your car further away and use another transport method to travel into the city. We don't recommend you drive into the city each day as the roads can be very busy during peak times, but if you do, the nearest car parks to the conference centre are:

National Car Parks (NCP) in central Edinburgh
Sheraton Hotel Car Park located 150 meters from the EICC, with limited accessible parking spaces
Semple Street Car Park located 300 meters from the EICC

These can be expensive, so it's worth checking the prices before deciding to park your car for the day!

Many of the local taxi drivers are available on the Gett app. Uber also have a presence in the city, and the law requires them to be licensed with the city authority.

If you choose to cycle around the city, there are bicycle racks at the side of the EICC for locking up your bike. Be careful around the tram lines because there have been a number of serious accidents crossing the tracks.
