Doug Hellmann is a Senior Principal Software Engineer in the CTO’s office at Red Hat where he focuses on community leadership and long-term sustainability for OpenStack. He has been programming in Python since version 1.4, and has worked on a variety of projects in fields such as mapping, medical news publishing, banking, and data center automation. In addition to his involvement with the OpenStack community, Doug is a Fellow of the Python Software Foundation. You may know him from the popular "Python Module of the Week" series on his blog, which served as the basis for his new book "The Python 3 Standard Library By Example”.
