I am a PhD student at the University of Southampton, where I model explosions on neutron stars. I do this by building simulations of the physics we believe drives these explosions. We hope that this modelling will allow us to learn more about the neutron stars themselves, such as their radius and the physics of their interiors (neither of which are currently well understood).
I am also one of the 2017 fellows of the Software Sustainability Institute, so am very interested in sustainable software practices and ways we can encourage scientists to write better code that is reliable and reproducible.
